Marissa McInturff

Mari Masot is the ceramics line and nom de plume of American-born artist and designer Marissa McInturff.  With a background in architecture and food styling, she draws her inspiration from the harmonious interaction between nature and human creativity.

Marissa started working with clay in 2016, and works with a small team in Barcelona's Poblenou neighborhood.  She makes her pieces in small batches and entirely by hand, striking a balance between the traditional nature of the medium, and the cultural and architectural influences of her designs.

Her work has been featured in such publications as Vogue, AD, and Time Out Barcelona; and sold around the world in outlets such as Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles, M+ Museum Hong Kong and Liberty London. Her work has been used in the merchandising of the luxury brand Longchamp, and a selection of nine of her large ceramic pieces are part of the permanent collection at Google.
